In 2010, I start addicted watching video clips due to some of my friends like to post some videos from YouTube in Facebook. One day, one of my friend post a video about how Cat Steven convert to Islam. Alhamdulillah, I felt very grateful to Allah as Allah has guided him to be a Muslim. That video was actually about his journey on how he came to be a Muslim and at that time he was famous in the UK as a singer. He took syahadah at London Central Mosque and then he became a founder of Islamic Cultural Centre, a centre for spreading knowledge regarding Islam to a new Muslim.Since then, the centre is a place for non-Muslims to recite syahadah and then become a practicing Muslim. When I watched this video, I found a link to other videos of some people in the UK reciting syahadah.I became interested watching videos about new Muslims' life after they have taken their syahadah. Some of them shared their experiences on their difficulty to tell their families about their new religion.By watching this video, my grateful to Allah increased because Allah has always guided me to understand Islam and helps me to seek this knowledge since I was young. Some people born in Muslim's family but they do not practise Islam as a way of life.
A documentary about the life of Cat Steven (Yusuf Islam)
Islam is not only a religion but it plays important role in every single of life.Practising Islam when communicate with other people, speak in a good manner, show a good attitude to everyone and that's how our prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him (pbuh)) behaves when he deliver his messages to the people.Because I had watched so many videos about people converting to Islam, I have a dream to meet these people. My dream came true in October 2014 when Allah has given me an opportunity to witness a white man took his syahadah at Islamic Cultural Centre in London Central Mosque in front of us who at that time listening to a talk given by an invited speaker. I never know there will be someone taking syahadah in the middle of the talk because I normally join the event to mingle with Muslims in London and listen to the talks given by prominent scholars. That was my first experience and the feeling of happiness seeing someone reciting syahadah for the first time was indescribable.Alhamdulillah.Thank you Allah for all the blessings.May all of us will enter Jannah (Heaven) in the hereafter.
